Now about the show, this was something I was initially interested in, given my prior interest in watching rap battles. The addition of AOA's Jimin sealed the deal for me (may or may not be slightly biased). As for the other rappers in the show, I really didn't have any prior knowledge about much of them, the only girls I really knew of were Cheetah, Jolly V and Jessi (from those infamous Myspace conversations with Tiffany).
What do I think of it so far? To put it lightly, I'm addicted to it! It's even more than I hoped for, it's tragic, it's dramatic and it's absolutely hilarious, seriously. I'm glad they opted out of eliminating contestants because each of these girls have a personality that provides some sort of entertainment.
Who do I like so far? What do I think of the girls? I thought Jimin would be my favourite before watching this, but now that I've gotten a feel for the rest of the cast, I'd say that the stand out contestants are Kisum (her random screams during the first episode almost killed me), Jessi (everything she says has underlying sass to it and I find her half Korean half English dialogue hilarious) and Tymee (I'm hoping for an outright brawl between her and Jessi). To be fair, every girl is a riot to watch and I think they did a great job casting these girls.
One thing I'm a bit concerned about is Jimin, as much as I love her, I don't want to see her get torn apart too much because she's obviously a bit fragile. Then again, I don't want to see them favor her and be overly lenient on her because of the previously mentioned reasons. It's only the first episode, but I hope she steps forward a bit and proves herself, rap wise.
